Show Overview
The Mousetrap originally opened at the Ambassadors Theatre in 1952 and has subsequently become the longest running play in the world!
It is a classical Agatha Christie 'Whodunnit' about a group of friends stranded in the countryside. Tensions mount as they discover a murderer in their midst; the only trouble is of course, everyone suspects everyone else and no one really knows 'whodunnit'. For the audience member, there are so many clever twists and turns that it is impossible to guess who the murderer really is and even then, can you be certain?
It is testament to the author who died in 1976, that for so many years, her play can still achieve such a high level of interest. Houses are often still packed out and the story has lost none of its' original edge. So buy a ticket for 'The Mousetrap' and enter into the mysterious world of Christie; relish the plot and savour the slowly unfolding scenes before the dramatic and surprising finale.
A classic play that continually generates wonderful performances.
